Figure 1. Power spectral density (PSD) for arterial pressure (AP)and renal blood flow (RBF) and transfer function gain, phase, and coherence in hypertensive Sprague-Dawley rats subjected to chronic Ang II-infusion and high NaCl (HNa) diet (see Methods). Animals were infused with isotonic saline vehicle throughout (Ang II HNa-vehicle, n=8). Data are from two 20-minute baseline clearance periods (C1-C2) and the last two periods (i.e. C7-C8) 80-120 minutes after start of isotonic saline vehicle administration (see Methods). There were no significant changes in transfer function variables at C7-C8 versus corresponding baseline values.
