Among these are; early innovation with focus on basic attitudes for innovations, entrepreneurial intent and opportunity recognition, venture creation, open innovation and Business models for early small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) within biotech and high technology.

In additional lines of research, we focus on e-learning, scenario analysis, as well as the importance of the internet for ongoing changes in ”Big Pharma” and decision strategies in health care, the biotech and pharma industries.

Our research is based to our innovation activities and is aimed at supporting the development of new tools and policies to facilitate value creation through a deep understanding of innovation and entrepreneurship in practice.

Collaboration

We value collaboration as a key success factor in making a measureable impact on healthcare and economic growth in West Sweden. Our goal with collaboration is to support the missions of public and private actors in the region with highly skilled persons and tools to drive innovation projects. In this process we also help identify and build new value propositions to benefit the region together with our collaboration partners.

Collaboration comes in many forms and we welcome partnerships in relation to innovation projects, education and research. All of these initiatives are interdisciplinary, not only working across academic disciplines, but also bridging the gap to industry and the public sector.

Below are some of the actors we have ongoing collaborations with as partners or financiers in specific projects or as long term strategic partners within our core activities.
